recital!

i know i went a little crazy with the pictures here but it's what i do and i love it! not sure how i am going to rationalize leaving all these little guys- i will miss them so much! after the recital Sunday night i saw Rent with Merry, Alex, Saeunn, and Jill. yesterday got to taste potato-chip chicken and play 20 variations on silent night with Jordan, Merry, Robin, and Alex. i love playing Christmas carols, i love playing Bach, i love cello! even paying $300 in outstanding parking tickets to avoid a court summons isn't so bad considering my week so far. i also found $75 of Amazon gift certificates that I got as gifts last Christmas and thought lost forever! just a few more days until i'm home too!

went to lelolai with jill and jean baptiste for lunch today. giddy thinking about france! afterwards went to evolution yoga for body enlightening with simon park. two hour class with jill as my partner. except that he stepped in and worked on me for a good 40 minutes! easy to let go when someone is working on you for that long. felt spa-esque leaving. decided to go to the apollo's fire christmas concert but was sold out so ended up eating zucchini and having a glass of wine with yuya and jill. showed yuya pictures and videos from our trip to peru last january. i love peru! nostalgia and the need to have my hand on heart. being with good friends can make a trip wonderful but also something so magical about the andes and so beautiful about the people.

yuya waited patiently while i counted cranes later on- only 200 so far... 800 more to go. my teacher tanya carey has a sister who is very sick with cancer. maybe it is small and in the end won't change anything, but somehow it makes me feel better. was a little off last night reading this post <http://buffie26.blogspot.com/2005/12/lost-post-about-favorite-patient.html> and started thinking about my uncle and my grandfather. made me realize how fragile everything is. how much i love my family and friends. and how important it is to live life well.

one more thing! got a petite cadeau tonight- yuya says it will bring happiness. i put it in my car where i used to have a little peruvian boat from the uros islands hanging. finally a replacement for an irreplaceable stolen item!
